Driving back to work after lunch today and noticed a car behind me indicating left. However he continued to indicate left despite passing numerous left turns and only stopped indicating left when he had to turn right!. He obviously never turned off the indicator after turning left onto the road. This wasn't an isolated incident either, I've been behind 2 Dublin buses and followed them for a considerable distance, again both with their indicators constantly on.

The thing is, Dublin buses have a reasonably loud beep when the indicators are on, how can you NOT notice this??

My car, a Golf, ticks when the indicators are on, but what about other cars? Are the indicators silent? Are the lights on the dash the only sign that they're on? The guy this afternoon was driving an opel.

    they
    a) have **** for brains
    b) can't drive at all and should remain without a car
    c) listen to dangerously loud music
    d) all of the above

seriously I was thinking of posting a thread about the in-ability of 60% drivers to properly indicate their intentions. It's madening when you have to pay attention to some idiots where they are going when they are not indicating

These are the same people who drive around with:-
their wipers on full blast during a light drizzle
    their rear fogs on
    their mirrors turned arseways
their lights off at night / winters evening (requires being flashed by up to 10 other drivers before wondering what is up)

It shows a huge lack of observation skills and personally speaking they should not be allowed drive!
This poxy country regards driving as a right not a privelige.

ditto front fog lights. You have to switch them on separately in my car, I can only assume it's the same in other cars, but yet so many twat drive around with the fron fog lights on. As Seinfeld would say, 'what's the deal with that?'

100% agree. 'Funniest' is when I see a BMW driver, early thirties and has fog lights on. You'd expect somebody like that (c'mon bmw driver, male and somehow grown up) to know some extremely basic rules

The foglights come on automatically when I turn on the dim's on my car :(
Must try re-wiring when I can be arsed, it must be really annoying for oncoming traffic

The funnist thing I seen in a while was last night coming out of Hillcrest area in lucan, just where the new traffic lights have gone up.

A Micra was sitting at the oppsite side of the Junction to me. There was a cop car right infrunt of me. The Micra didn't have his head lights only (it was about 9:10pm) So the cop car went over to him and the cops told him to put on his lights. So he did....

One of the head lights was not working at all. But because the cop car was to far forward they didn't notice this and the fella got away with it.

People who dont indicat and/or do it right. Really get on my nervs. I got on my house mate about it too till he started doing it.

TBH I think all drivers on the road should be made drive a bike for 1 month, just to see how bad at driving and following the rules of the road people are.
