MS update virus??

    My da was one the pc a week ago and he says all these pop up start coming but one of the was finish download of ms updates! He said he never started any, but he clicked finish. Since thn when he connects to the net this yellow warning page opens and then this green ppt thing with an enter key in the middle.

    Now i set the homepage to default which has seemed to work but i m goin over tonight to kill the ****er all together, Does it sound fimiliar, any anti .exe that would do the job

    Sounds like Spyware. Bring over Ad-aware 6 and Spybot Search & Destroy with you and they should detect and delete the nasty little spies!! Don't forget to get the updates from within the spyware programs. Also, make sure that the antivirus software is up-to-date and that the firewall is switched on (presuming its XP).
