    I used to use DVD RegionX (which came free with a crappy mag) and it worked fine for me. You just need a bit of space on your memory card. Stick it in, choose the region, and replace disc with film when prompted.

    It supposedly handles RCE R1 discs too (though I didnt have any RCE disc to try)

    I think i have dvd region x to, can't find it at the moment.

    got in hmv in dublin, i'm sure they still sell them

    Sorry if I'm thread hijacking here but I thought my question suited this thread well enough instead of creating my own. I read on-line somewhere that you can use a particular type of cable to connect a PS2 to a TV to avoid getting black & white playback on NTSC DVD's?

    Does anyone know if this is true or is it entirely dependent on the TV your using?
