Agreed they are a complete Joke, the network has been down 3 times this month so far, Wednesday and Thursday of this week both evenings others and myself on the network had no coverage, were unable to make or receive calls send text’s etc. Also earlier in the month they were down as well, they should have their licence revoked and given to an operator who can provide a constant service.

I notice the thread you sent me to is banned....

honest .. its up to yourself which company you pick.. they each have their good and bad points...

as an ex employee of vodafone... and customer of O2 for about 3 years... I'd say... choose O2... I don't know what you where thinking with meteore, .... I kan't even spell it...

O2 for texts... vodafone for everthing else.... you know yourself ... why are you askin?

As Mr-X gave reasons this thread will not be closed ...unlike the first one .

My main objection to Meteor is their farcical coverage map, Comreg should smack them hard over it .

On the plus side at least they admit problems unlike (particularly) O2 and to a lesser extent Vodafone and give you some compo. I agree its not enough though.

You should make a point of mailing Comreg every time they go down , info@comreg.ie , and encouraging your friends on Meteor to do the same. Otherwise Meteor may neglect :) to tell Comreg about this and Comreg may never know about it .

If the network is splattered , what happens if you ring 112 or 1905 or 1909 or 1901 . If you hear a human or a network IVR then hang up ...obviously. ?

In extremis the network should at least support this service , for example if the billing system has locked up but the rest of the network is up. No 112 coverage is very serious regulatory stuff .

No. Whatever about giving someone a recommendation on a network, epic bitchfests about one operator or another may give you the opportunity to blow off steam, but are frankly a waste of everyone else’s bandwidth.

The purpose of this board is the exchange of information on Mobiles and PDAs, if you want to whine about [insert operator] for 12 pages - take it to the After Hours or, better still, the Personal Issues boards.

Thread closed and don’t make me close a third one.

Edit: In fairness, Muck surprisingly (for this thread, not himself) posted some useful information. Nonetheless, rather than let this become a 12-page whine, it’s getting closed.
