who knows, the guys description leads me to believe he does not know what he is selling, you do not need a card for FTA channels , thats why they are called free to air. It may or may not work for ITV ch4, he even says "Approx 52 TV channels (except ITV,CHANNEL 4 AND 5)" perhaps you did not see this.

The "(except ITV,CHANNEL 4 AND 5)" bit makes it sound like the card isn't activated.

The seller states "As far as i am aware with this card you will be able to view all "FREE to AIR" channels. Approx 52 TV channels (except ITV,CHANNEL 4 AND 5)."

In other words, he's saying it will decrypt FTA channels (which don't need any sort of card anyway) but won't decrypt ITV, Channel 4 and five (the only 3 remaining FTV channels - which do need an active card).

I'd be very wary ... look for another card which states FTV. They seem to average 60 to 100 euro in price by the end of the aucction.

They are sky property, so technically and legally, they shouldn't be sold. Also, the guy could sell you the card, then ring sky, have it cancelled and replaced and sell it to another $ucker.

I expect this thread to be locked within minutes!
