I live in Dublin city center. I'm thinking of setting up a 60cm motosided dish to get FTA. Is this size be sufficient to recive most of the satellites. How much would this setup cost and can yu give me links for someone to install this.

    Thanks

    60cm is a waste of a motor.

    80/90cm is much more usefull.

Depends what you are interested in.

A complete Motorised system (LNB, 80 or 90cm dish, FTA receiver, Motor and "standard Install") might squeeze in under €400. If you buy the bits perhaps under €300.

Google for "Palcom DSL 4" (Note the space between DSL and 4)

The Irish supplier in Dublin does Installs.

Go for a diseq motor not a traditional jack. You can set this up your self in 10 mins. All current boxes come with diseq control so you won't need a poistioner . Diseq motors can be had for about £60 . You would be better off getting a box with common interface slots. It would only set you back anotehr £20 and give you the option to watch encrypted channels in the future. Try www.hisat.com they have some good deals on gbsat and diseq mounts.
