http://www.zintek.tv have a wide range of Technomate receivers, however I know nothing about the site, regarding customer services and pricing.

I have priced similar on the satellitesuperstore website in the UK and they seem cheaper there.

I bought a Technomate 5500D from satsuperstore in Feb for £99sterling. My entry into the world of satellite. Then l released l should have bought a receiver with a card slot, for Sky. Its a free to air receiver, but has no card slot, since it doesn't need one for FTA. If its what your looking for send me a PM, as its gathering dust at the moment (bought some 2nd hand digiboxes off e-bay, since).

I had a look at the above mentioned site and to be honest their prices are a bit stiff. Even if you take into account the bad sterling rate some of their product are quiet expensive.

Last time I checked Satellitesuperstore was about €50 cheaper for a DACP Model than Zintec

Anyone know anything about this Zintek crowd?

There is also an outfit in Donegal- Antenna Electronics who have Technomate recievers on their website, but the site is pretty basic, although I have spoken to them on the phone in the past (about something else) and they seemed really helpful.

OMG that www.zintek.tv is one of the biggest rip off satellite sites i have ever seen.

    www.hm-sat.de > Matrix Reloaded Cam 69 euros
    Dreambox 7000s 329 euros
    Cas Interface 2 € 69.00

www.zintek.tv> Matrix Reloaded Cam 190 euros
    Dreambox 7000s 499 euros
    Cas Interface 2 € 169.00

God i could spent all day comparing prices! I saw an add for this company in the buyandsell, saying there "pub soccer specialists". Id say there ripping off pubs all over the country who thing there are paying the going rate. If anyone says well there in Ireland and there isnt much competition and it costs them money to import the product, all i can is Ha,ha,ha......................
God i could set up my own satellite company, buy the stuff from hm-sat, sell the stuff cheaper than zintek and still make a great profit.

Heres a bit of there add:
ATTENTION PREMIERSHIP FOOTBALL : Official Art Sports & Nova Viewing Cards. pub TV Specialists....................................

Id love to know how mcuh those cards cost, about 3,000 going by what they charge for everything else!

I agree, by the way , I was not endorsing or reccomending the site, it was just the only website based in Ireland that I could find doing Technomate ranges, in answer to the original post.

Did quite a few price comparisons over the weekend myself also.

    @Leonard

I do not think you are being fair there with your comments about zintek tv.

it is true yes that their prices are higher then in Germany for instance but to say it is a rip off is a different story.

I for instance sell the Sky box with dish etc for euro 390,-.I was told last week i was a rip off artist because you can get them for free in Ireland.I tried to tell them the story of the non -subsidy and 35 euro post cost from ireland for the receiver but it fell on deaf ears.

The simple fact is the more you can sell the more you buy and then you will get it at a better price which you can pass on to the customer.

because hm sat is in a bigger market (population and the fact that the majority of people have CI receivers )it sells more hense it can buy in at a better price.
Zintek on the other hand are in a small market when it comes to potential customers and if something is wrong with the product has to cover the garantee at a big expence to themselves.Post charges etc back to the big wholesalers here on the contienent

A guy I know who sells echostars in ireland is after spending a lot of time and money covering the garantee on a receiver that has a small but annoying problem only to be told by echostar that there is nothing wrong with it and charged at least 44 euro
The receiver had to be sent to holland and send back again to ireland .Cost ,at least 70 euro.
Total cost so far approx 120 euro.

If you ask me you all should be glad that people are prepared to offer these products and not only sky receivers in ireland.
don't get me wrong ,i am happy they have to charge more over there in ireland but you have to look at the big picture

    @ Seano

If you read the post correctly you will see that I was only agreeing with the comments posted by another member. We are all intitled to our opinions and I just happened to agree with the points made by the member who made the initial post.

Also I was not the only member to agree bye the way.

my excuses ,i have just gone back and checked..............

    No problem Seano.

I have read through your post mind you and you did raise one or two valid points but where I was coming from was that I am interested in this satellite scene for a while now and with encryptions changing as often as they do, it can become quite expensive buying bits and pieces to keep as much up to date as possible. For me to do this unfortunitly I have to buy all my products from outside Ireland due to the expense here. I must add that these views are only based on items which I myself need and may not be the needs of others.

Your right, the prices of these type of cards are gone completely out of hand. And let me add this is all over the web not just Irish based sites.
