hey all, was just watching voyager last night on sky and noticed something very cool, - one can alwalys judge how much **** voyager is in by looking at the state of janeways hair, the more out of control it gets , the more trouble they are in -

seriously watch it tonight & next time voy is fighting other ships, as voyager gets more destroyed so does the beehive.

Ahh yes yes when taking into acount the neatness of her hair, their seems to be a direct mathematical proportion to the state of the ship.
Interesting very interesting

If we add a constant Rho which is calculatd from the number of ships and their relative size to janeways hair then multiply this to the absolute neatness of her hair and we'll get the status of the ship in units of follicles.

So,
Ship Status = Rho * Neatness

It's so obvious :cool:

Aye, tis true - maybe it's ST compensating for having a bald captain in TNG.


I think she'd be a lot more likeable if she didn't have her hair going up so high over her forehead so much - it seems to defy gravity at times!

her newer hairstyle in the later season was better then that severe bun though from the earlier seasons yes yes it was in my expert opinion as a full time hair stylist

Sadly in the later series u cant really judge the ship by her hair, u have to go by the amount of cuts she has cos her hair is down.

Hmm... seven of nine. But to be honest i've seen her naked already so those pictures don't effect me. (And yes, they are real pics, ones she did for playboy but then later scrapped)

Only 2 hair styles? I seem to remember her changing her hairstyle practically every week for a while before settling in later seasons. (must have exhausted all the possible permutations ).

More than the hair, it was Janeway's gravel-y voice that struck me. That first moment in the Caretaker pilot when you hear "Tom Paris" off-screen, I totally thought it was a robot, not a human captain

I like Janeway, her hairstyle is funny when they're getting attacked. For example, in 'Deadlock' when the ship rocks & the entire bun tips forwards, threatening to fall, but then re-asserts itself and settles back down, a few strands of hair loosened hehe

Good hypothesis re: state of hair vs state of Voyager. We had nothing like that with Picard & Sisko. Maybe with Archer we can work something out correlating to the amount of furrows in his brow...
