    Hi ,
Does anyone have any idea where I can get the settings for wap etc for an orange SPV . I've tried the settings sticky but they seem to be for nokia etc and the feilds are different .
It's one of the early versions with Windows 2002 on it and it's a bill phone .

    Thanks

hi - which operator are you with?

if you are on contract might find it better to stick with the ISP (e.g. for web browsing and email), unless you really want/need WAP?

    Hi BrianG
    I'm with Vodafone .
I have a 6310i which I use as my main phone but bought the SPV to have a bit of crack with and maybe use for Exchange mail for work ,So far I've found that it eats the batteries ,you need tiny fingers to use the buttons and I can't get any internet etc...but apart from that it's cool

You may need to have GPRS ISP service enabled for you account if not already set-up. Calling the Data Support team can have this enabled (1850 287 000). This service is for web content (not WAP), email, instant messaging etc... also look at subscribing to the GPRS Inclusive Data package depending on your data usage, but with this kind of device it will usually be more economical to get the package

    Vodafone ISP GPRS

    Programs
    Settings
    Data Connections
    Menu > Edit Connections

    GPRS Connections
    Menu > Add

    Description: Voda ISP GPRS
    Connects to: The Internet
    Access point: isp.vodafone.ie
    User name: vodafone
    Password: vodafone
    Primary DNS: (leave blank)
    Secondary DNS: (leave blank)
    IP Address: (leave blank)

    Press Done

On the Data Connections screen set:
Internet Connection: Automatic (or set Voda ISP GPRS if you want to set this as default)

    Press Done

    Thanks Brian,

Those GPRS settings worked first time ,I also managed to set up the connection to RAS into the office for exchange mail (forgot about the 700+ Mails in my inbox ,time for some archiving :D ) . It turned out to be the zero in the area code !
Now I have a mini internet and mini mail where ever I go .
I flashed the phone with the latest update from the Orange web site and I think it's appitite for batteries has become slightly smaller .
Now it's on to my next mission ...Broadband in the bog
Once again thanks for the help ....

    Brendan.
