I was on my hols in Portugal last week and I saw a really cool little buggy type car. I think it might have been 3 wheels, 2 at front one back. What I liked was the way the driver sat up front and there was room for one passanger behind. It's killing me that I didn't catch the name.
Now, the question, does anyone know of a company making cars of this description? I think they'd have a fairly small engine, which is what I'm looking for coz insurance would be cheaper.
I searched google but all I got was vintage cars and one wmv(man wide vehicle) which probably costs a fortune coz it tilts like a bike.
    Cheers.

Ha ha! Exactly! Although from what I've seen the Trotter's 3 wheeler isn't very reliable!
Think "mini beach buggy" and your close to what I'm looking for.

Kind of like these? - There's one of these (well, a look-alike anyways - above ones are a bit tall) going around Ennis. Fit's a driver in the front, and he managed to fit two children in with him.

Exactly! Except it was brand new, lower and was a bit more stylish than that :D
I think it had a soft top too.
Jeez, Ennis is the last place I'd think of seeing a car like that!

After the war German companies churned out millions of bubble cars - BMW Messerschmitt and Heinkel though they were'nt considered as much fun as the Italian models. (proberly lasted longer though)

I think this was the one I saw. From what I've read, most of these are kit cars and some of the more modern ones have massive engines. One of the cars, a 3 wheeler which is road legal, can go faster than the McClaren F1! TREX1.jpg
This is the one that goes faster than the McClarenvigillante.jpg

Hi Emmett, it's not the SMART cars you're thinking of, is it?

They're quite popular on the continent..

    Picture here.
