I just had to rant about this show, I think it is one of the most crude shows that RTE has ever produced. I cringe everytime I watch it, it is so cheesy, I don't want to single out any one person in particular but the presenter has got to one of the most annoying people that RTE have managed to put on our screens (Second only to that one who presents the Disney Club ... Mary Kingston, I think her name is).

Generally RTE makes good programs for younger audiences, The Den was (and still is) a great program, that even more mature audiences can enjoy. But ID is trying to hard to be fresh, it feels tacky and out-dated.

One last thing that I have to give out about is that thing they show before and after a bunch of adverts, where they have some 'teens' jumping on a bed and throwing cushions, with some crap music in the background, What the hell is that about?

The presenter has to be the worst ever. i mean she is trying to hard its unberable and plus now the start programs at different times to fit in her ranting and talking about stuff she doesnt even know. Amazing how all the emails comps they have, they must have a deal with eircom as its all before 6pm.

I think the Den is a good program for Children, obviously it's got a very young target audience but kids do enjoy it. The Den is one of the few success stories of RTE, Dustin is probably the only good thing going for RTE at the moment.

RTE is a brodcasting company that still lives in the 80's, In the 80's their shows were pretty good for the times but now they have tried to keep the same shows and give them a new look (The Late Late Show!!!), Pat Kenny is the most boring presenter ever, I'm sure he's a nice person but I don't care because he is a crap television presenter, The late late show was never really any good but at least Gay was a good laugh and he was a bit entertaining.

RTE needs to move on, get rid of Pat Kenny and Marion Finucane, dump the annoying blonde one on ID and extradite Mary Kennedy and her talking dog to Guatemala.

I think The Den is abit too childish if you know what i mean? Compared to the other studio stuff other stations do..like CITV and CBBC...its compleat crap. but yeah i do agree Dustin is extreamly funny sometimes. An dont get me started on that new presenter!!!

yes i totally 100% agree with you there. Pat Kenny has to be the worst thing ever!

Now, ID is a great concept i think anyway. but the blonde (Laura, that her name??) tries to hard, but shes probably slept with the entire RTE board of managment, so i suspect we are stuck with her. Now WTF is ID+, the studio is bigger and so much better than the shack thing they have on everyday, so what i say is. Get rid of the blonde one, then hire some talent, (maybe keep steve, he sorta knows what hes on about) then move the entire show over to the big studio. Cut the Den to finish at 4pm, then ID start . and it goes on till 7.

wow iv written alot!! but im affraid RTE dont have the brains to produce any good entertainment.

When i first heard about ID, i thought FINALLY RTE are getting there act together and putting on a good programme. But sadly no, they have a presenter who doesnt no alot about anything really but pretends to no alot.
Here is an example of how the show is:

Hi welcome to ID. we have a great competition for you but first here is Neighbours.

Welcome back, now to the competition- how many legs does a dog have? i'll give you a clue, 4. e-mail and txt in now. but first here is the Simspons.

Welcome back you can see the competitions winners at the end of the screen, well thats it for todays show see you tomorrow at a different time.

And that would be the hole show. I think RTE came up with a good idea in ID but just didnt finsh it and now thry have a weak show.

Laura in all fairness shouldn't read off the auto cue. It's more natural when she is just having a conversation with a band or something.

Down with the autocue, just be yourself and adlib laura.

One of the reason The Den used to be good was the fact that the didn't (and still don't) use an autocue.

ID I can take, but I sat down to watch the simpsons on thursday, to discover it was replaced with ID+. Now that's out of line.

    lol.

I don't really watch it, I just bear it for the brief time it's on before the Simpsons/Home and Away (saying Home and Away is much better than it is saying a lot).

Thought it was funny the time they were interviewing the Rock and the female lead from "in the jungle" or something. They gave the female lead this ****ty little tin whistle and they gave the Rock an official Irish rugby jersey! :D I'd say she must have been happy

Did anyone see the epsiode a couple of months ago where the camera accidentally flicked onto the studio during a program, the presenter was bending down to pick something up and about 3 inches of her thong was visible to the whole of Ireland... well, anyone who was watching anyway!!:p Kinda felt sorry for her though she is ultra annoying and gets all the good jobs- ie interviewing Ben Affleck and Will Smith! Lucky for some!!

And she 'so' doesn't dress like the kinda person who'd have a thong sticking three inches out of her kex anyway.
