i stumbled across this on a morphix disk. Looks really good!

I dont have much in-depth knoledge of accounting, but how would this compare with say Big Red Book?

    Is it difficult to use/setup?

I'm afraid that I'm not an accountant of any description, nor would I say there are many that browse the unix boards here.

However, I think Gnucash is great. It's stable, easy to use, has more features than I need (purely for managing my personal finances) and is fast enough.

I was balancing all of my incoming + outgoing money in about 10 minutes, for what it's worth.
