"'More 4', a new advertising-supported station from Channel 4, will launch on Freeview and digital satellite next year."

The full article can be found here -

The fact that it's advertising supported and not subscription funded may be bad news for ROI viewers, as it effectively puts it into the same category as ITV2.

In which case we may not get to see it.

Unless, of course, the whole ITV/Channel4 ROI availablilty issue is sorted out before then.

    Hmmmmm..............

ITV2 is FTA on Freeview, but subscription based on Sky so as to give ITV a discount on FTV encryption.

Since Sky no longer supplies the FTV cards arguing no-one is paying since BBC pulled out, ITV may reconnsider when contract ends in Autumn. Like why are they paying for FTV encryption whenb sky wants extra to let people view it.

I can't see that anything that C4 does is relevent to the TV3 / ITV /UTV fiasco.

There is a possibility that More 4 will be subscription funded on Sky, just like ITV2, and FTA on DTT.

There is a possibility that it will be avialable, considering E4 is available. They may even have a version with IRL aimed adverts
