    According to:
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401913/

The Big Bow Wow is "active". Someone please tell me this isn't true. This extended Snack Bar ad* can't be allowed to go on....

    * NB: Subtle joke...

It wouldn't. "Active" is usually an indication that they're getting ready for filming....

Umm IMDB relies on its readers often for updates, particularly of non-US shows. Obviously noone from Ireland has bothered to update its status yet. That's all. Don't fret - it's a dead show :)

13 part Paranormal series for this year according to RTE's statement of commitments. They only different thing about this document other wise not many commitments in regards TV.

I somehow don't think they try this again. Maybe TV3 get to produce the next series?

Bow wow's "writers" were commisioned to start writing a 2nd series before the first one had aired.

So they buggered off to the west indies before the first one aired to write part two of their opus.

Then the press clippings came in.

It won't get a second run (and hell even on home ground got two) rte was so desperate to unload it that they decided late on a friday to start showing it as a double bill (a decision taken so quickly the sunday papers tv listings for the week missed it).

also RTE PR was told not to waste any more time on it after ep 6 cause too much time and money had been wasted on it and it was good money after bad.

To put it as a metaphor bow wow has a stake through it's heart Van Hesling is sawing it's head off, and wasn't that a cockeral I heard crowing there?

    loved this bit from IMDB

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401913/
Recommendations If you like this title, we also recommend...

    Magnolia (1999)

If you liked this title I recommend you have your eyes sewn open and hot manure smeared over your face........

Christ mentioned the "big bow wow" in a sentence with "magnolia" is stupid unless the words "is nothing compared to it" also appear in it

You could always add an "if you liked this you might like..." recommendation for Police Academy: Mission to Moscow (1994)

Yeh Mycroft, i remember hearing that at the time and thinking it was strange. Was there ever actual contracts signed?

No. Sorry. but on home ground did get a full run for its second (and first) season, perhaps they repeated on late night fridays.

There where only 8-10 episodes of this show per season.

I think thats what I said.

I was demostrating the even RTE who gave "on home ground" a second series, and that was bloodly awful. Even the clueless idiots in RTE realised "bow wow" was so awful that they made the decision to axe it mid way through the first series, while even on home ground got a 2nd chance (and failed).

As far as I know, yes. The general atmosphere was this thing was going to run and run. Filming had been pencilled in to start in may.
