If Reading Ireland is incorporated here then yes. If not then I wouldn't count on it. They should play here when they go on a proper tour of Europe.

lets hope so, they havnt released a new record so the only hope is that they will come as part of a festival. this is from greenday.com:

    August 7-8:
The Summer Sonic '04 festival in Japan.

    August 10:
In Okinawa, Japan. As more info becomes available, we'll post it here

    August 27-29:
Reading / Leeds festival in the U.K.

Seen them play 3 times now. An absolute classic live act. billy is a great frontman. I'd love to go see them again. It's a good while since warning came out isn't it? They should be due some new material pretty soon.

Well they did release an album called money money 2020 under the name 'the network' last year, quite an odd album, but im not exactly a greenday fan so thats maybe why it doesnt appeal to me. Theres also some other album that billy joe sang for that was reviewed in metal hammer recently, got a good review but da album is only 15 mins long or sumthin

Does anyone know why there was so much backlash against their last album, 'warning' I think??? Songs like Blood, sex and booze were brilliant.

    It was different.
    They only said "Fuck" once.
    People like the phrase sellout.

    ...probably.

Probably due to the low level of distortion used on the guitars, so less punky.
    /shrug

Its my favourite Green Day album tbh.

It was much poppier than their past efforts.

    They SO sold out.

Billie Joe also has another band called Pinhead Gunpowder. I think i got the bands name right. What would be your favourite green day album? Personally i like insomniac. I'm not that big a green day fan anymore but i still think insomniac is there best work.

    Pinhead Gunpowder is indeed correct.

Insomniac's a brilliant album. Some of their best songs are on it. And the quality of the sound is by far the best of all their albums. Though I wouldn't say it was my favourite. Maybe second or third. Favourite is definitely 1039... It was just unbeatable from the start.

    Well, i haven't heard 1039. May check it out.:D

It's full name is 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours. It's made up of a few EPs they had.

Yeah, i heard that. It's their 1st album, isn't it? Made up from earlier ep's. Some people regard it as their best, so it must be worth checking out then.
