    Ok lads
i just got me new quad LNB from tony. Cheers for the prompt service and delivery.

What i need know is detailed instructions of how to fit it. I have two digiboxes i want to fit but i am waiting on a second hand box to arrive.

Can i just fit the one cable and then fit the second cable when needed of do i have to fit the both a once. The dish is at ground level so no need for ladders.

Any detailed picture guide of what to do would be handy.

I hope its true that you cant just split the cable from the lnb with a cable splitter to get the signal to two boxes.

Absolutely. The Digibox sends a two kinds of signals *TO* the LNB, so this means the LNB can be sending back any *ONE ONLY* of four possible groups of signals.

If two satellite receivers *where* on the same cable, there is a 3/4 possibility that one will have the wrong signal.

Also since one of the signals is done by changing the Power between 14V approx and 18V approx *TO* the LNB, both digiboxes boxes would easily get a sort of short circuit on the LNB connector.

The Dual and Quad LNBs get round this by having a separate connector for each satellite receiver / digibox. It is almost four LNBs with one horn. In practice some circuits are in common.

Any number of the connections can be used or left unconnected, in any order.
