    I've seen the ad. a few times. I think it looks terrible and I still have no intention of seeing it.
    Glad you enjoyed it, mind.

    It sounds like a interesting enough plot if it's done well. The cast looks a bit a**e though. That Kutcher twat and some chick from a couple of gross out comedies :dunno:

    I think it looks pretty good, im gonna go see it to see if kutcher can actually act, as oppsed to dude, where my car?

    Uhm, yeah I posted my oppinion on this in the "What film were you watching last night" thread, but I should put it in here... :dunno:

    well here it is anyway;

    I was going out on a limb here, taking a chance, and I was almost sure that limb was going to break off and tear some very important arteries when I realised ashton kutcher was in the ****en thing... But I was pleasantly suprised. It was not bad at all, infact its one of the best films I have seen all year. Truly was something different, and done very well. Critics have dissed this film, badly. But I must say that movie critics today have taste in their arse or something because I went with a groupof mates to see this movie and they all loved it, I even posted about seeing it on another forum and not one person had any ill words about the film. I guess all of the critics just saw that kutcher(Am I spelling that right?) was in it and instantly giving it the thumbs down.

    *If you have not seen the film do not go any further please*
    I loved the ending of the film, people said it sucked, some people said it was not the best, but I thought it was perfect, it was a happy ending since he managed to fix his life again, but was even better because it was not a disney ending, both he and his one true love turned out fine but never got together. I was also turning the title "Butterfly effect" over and over in my head, just before the movie started, wtf could it mean? The patterns in his brain or what? Then it made sense when the movie started. Although I was still turning over the possibilites of a butterfly killing people on the otherside of the planet in china... Personaly my brain is wrecked after this film, all the possabilities that there was, even the speculation if this could be done or how it could be done... Or what would result of it... You know, sci fi crap! I was totaly mind-****ed by this film...

    i was supprised to see so many negative replies, so had a look at yahoo movies and found it had scored a B and people were either voting it a A+ or an E- so its totally a you'll love it or hate it film,but the majority love it, and the less you know about it the better

    critics hate it, but my guess is- they would watch a movie more then once before commenting on it, and i doupt it would be much good if you know whats gonna happen, so second viewing would be dissapointing

    butterfly
    there is a theory that a tiny change can have a huge affect like the quote in the start of the film, " a butterfly flaps its wings and some other poor country has a typhoon" well something like that, so when he changes the past slightly his present is totally different

    ending
    i think he could not be happy with the amy smarts character, because...

    we know the father had the exact same problem and remember the dad was in hospital and tried to kill him in case he harms his mother, i think keeping away from the woman he loved was the only cure, thats why the dad had himself admitted and thats why the film ended with kutcher walking away from amy

    I thought Kutcher did a great job. Much better than his performances in the sh1te "Dude, where's my car?" and that 70's show. The film was very enjoyable, I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10.

    yeah id have to agree.. i thought it was pretty decent film alright...

    i seen the trailers a few weeks ago and thought it looked decent and then i thought... hold on.. kutcher's in it.. its gonna be pants.... but i was pleasently surprised... its definitely well worth going to see in the cinema...
    i thought there was one too many 'go back in time' parts to the film.. but enjoyable overall none the less...

    I wasn't looking forward to this after the critical panning it got in the states. Pretty much every review I read slated it. Couldn't be good I thought.

    I gave it a shot, and hey, I actually liked it! This film is nowhere near as bad (in my opinion) as the reviews say it is. I actually thought it was pretty good.

    Some fairly disturbing stuff in there aswell (like the
    kiddie porn scenes
    )

    I think the way it unwinds from the start was pretty decent, where you see later on in the film what really happened
    during the blackouts
    .

    By no means is the film as smart as it wants to be, and it does have it fair share of plot holes, but don't let that stop you seeing it. I thought this was pretty decent, and definitely enjoyed it.

    I quite liked the film. I was pretty surprised that Ashton Kutcher pulled that role off.

    Saw it and thought it was pretty good. Kutcher is actually good in it, despite his ****e performances in Punk*d and Dude Where's my Car? Liked the endng, the way it offered several intriguing explanations for his "time travelling" even though it ended up settling on one. Lacked a subtly a bit in parts alright, as in "Now your mistake was instead of being careful you decided to kill x, y and z. Do you see how that might have had rippple effects" sort of thing. And everyone seemed to be either a psycho or perfection in the film. Hello? Middle Ground?

    I actually enjoyed this movie.

    It's quite dark and depressing, just my style!
