    Wrong forum?

Unless the monitor has a TV mode or i/p or you get a very expensive TV/VGA convertor no.

A PC Analog WinTV card in a PC can be used.

PC cards also exist for Freeview (see below) FTA Satellite and Pay TV satellite (but not for Sky viewing card).

Freeview = UK terrestrial DTT (Digital TV via aerial)

FTA = Free To Air =can mean Freeview *OR* satellite TV from anywhere that needs NO card.

FTV = Free To View = Needs a special viewing card, now hard to get. Applies to Satellite.

As watty said, Freeview is digital terrestrial in the UK, and you have NTL analogue, so this is the wrong forum.

Where to move it to, though! :D

As you have NTL and wont be able to get freeview, moved to Cable forum.

As Watty said, unless you have a TV tuner for a monitor (and I haven't seen one of those in years - back in the 1980s Amstrad had one for CPC series monitors, but that's years ago) you won't be able to do anything with it TV-related.

A Freeview box won't work with NTL cable. Aside from it being illegal to use (you are only premitted to use equipment supplied by NTL), you won't be able to use it to pick up NTL Digital anyways.
