I want to develop a pretty simple application that listens on the serial port, and allows the user to make updates. The application isn't too complicated - a few tables to be updated -.

I would ideally like to be able to 'lock down' the PDA so that other applications couldn't be accessed, but that's a 'nice-to-have' at the moment.

Does anyone have any experience of this? What is needed to do this?
