I am just after reinstalling XP after getting the blue screen of death. my dvd writer which has worked fine for the past 2 weeks suddenly started to cause the blue screen. probably un-related, but said i would add the info just incase they are linked.

Try copying the folder in small chunks - try to find out where the problem is.
