The star trek mags wouldnt have new news as quickly as the net would so meh, i might buy a issue or 2 of it.

i'll not be buying it as you saw last irish monkey it will be about 15euro a pop over here. so if you get an mag issue with 3 eps of next generation it costs 15 so you have to spend 8*15 = 120 euro for a season

i'd rather pay the 100 for the box set available on play.com

Hmmm i rarely buy trek magazines (because the net is a better source) but if you get free stuff with it then maybe i could be convinced ;)

hmm i think included in the price would be a better definition, since when did any magazine cost 15euro and be fore anyone says its only 8pounds which makes it 12 euro magazines are tradiationally more expensive over here then in england even when you take the conversion rate into account. check out the prices in easons

I don't know about you guys but one of the appealing factors for me about STTNGs DVD release was that one could get an entire season of episodes in one package and not have to buy nine or so seperate products. .... as well as not to mention a couple of extra bookshelves.

Your buying it for the mag as well the dvd is just a nice touch .....Ill buy the first one because First contact is comeing with it and see what the mag is like (Some ****ing nice marketing there)

Actually I think it would have been cleverer marketing to start with the 3 TNG eps. You see if they did that and Issue 1 WAS crap then the more obsessive completests amongst us would still keep buying them because they had been locked into a series.

On the other hand a movie is just a standalone thing and it doesn't scream 'add to me' in the way episodes of a tv show do.

the star trek fact files covered almost everything thats in that mag and i collected that for 6 years and it only cost 3 euros or something everyweek so the price of the mag blatantly includes the dvd so people should be under no impression about that. the only difference is the behind the scenes features in the mag which weren't covered in the fact files.

i'll probably also buy the first issues as i don't have first contact on dvd and yes it will pain me then not to have the rest of the collection but again i'd prefare the box sets of the dvd's

Ill buy the first one cos its cheaper and has the first contact dvd, but €15 is too much imo.

Well i just saw the ad on tv and it's 3.99 sterling, which will be about 8 or 9 euro over here, after conversion and general bumped up priceness. FYI, if ya check for it in Easons in the Ilac centre, for some reason their prices seem to be cheaper than the other Easons. I dunno why.

Isnt it 3 99 sterling for the first issue only, then it goes up to 8 sterling.

Is it? Ahh bollix. Well... if ya bought the dvd it's be around the same price anyways. Just think of it as First Contact with a free magazine, not the other way around.
