Hey, just trying to get some old text files off a win98 machine (not networked or anything!) anyways I opened the file up and its all jibberish, looked at the extension and its .ple now! I changed it to .txt hoping maybe thats it. Still jibberish. Anyone got any idea ? Thanks

Renaming won't change the contents of a file, just it's association. Either of these ring any bells?
