Over the past few days my sound has been failing on and off.When I try to use either Winamp or Media Player (I get no error message with games the sound just isnt there) im told i have "bad direct sound drivers" or that there is "no sound card present". Im using an Avance AC97 Audio system(very much present and on correct drivers) on an e-machines 2.4 ghz p4 with 256mb ddr ram with a geforce fx 5600.When I reboot my system the sound is perfectly ok.Any help would be appreciated.
