    seems this is being turned into a political ploy

    got a leaflet in the door today with the nice smiling faces from fine gael telling me that they were going to do something about it

    It is being used as a political ploy as far as I can see (and I've not got any silly leaflets through my letterbox). They're "highlighting", "nailing":rolleyes: and "exposing". They're not even suggesting that people shop around - which is doing less than that "shop around" campaign on the telly.

    At this point I'd take any opportunity at all to support the opposition parties in any campaign on consumer rights and ripoff pricing. This is one of those things that's almost worth less than nothing. It's worth almost nothing on its own - the fact that they're just using it as a feeble political ploy drops it another few points in my view.
