    Does anyone out there know anything about the 2 new villians in the new Batman Movie? Ra Al Ghul and Scarcrow? I have very Vage Memories of them from that cartoon a couple of years ago. and should I have posted this in the comics forum?



    Should be an excellent film anyroad

    Just to clarify - the character Jonathan Crane (Cillian Murphy) IS appearing in BB - but his alter-ego 'Scarecrow' isn't*. There is plans to have Scarecrow in the sequel if BB is successful. This franchise is going to be structured along the lines of the current various Fox/Marvel series in which sequels will be more tightly integrated into the original films and where characters will get a gentler introduction to the storyline.

    * = this info seems pretty solid despite there being a listing for for Scarecrow on IMDB

    I read something about the Joker being in this film too, Steve Buscemi is playing him apparently, This movie cant be as bad as the last one hopefully anyways.

    Don't think there's any chance of that. I've been keeping an eye on all the reports and haven't heard a mention of the Joker.
    Would be nice to see him appear again at some point in the future mind. It feels weird killing the Bats arch-enemy off in the first film. Thing is who could ever replace Jack in the role?

    Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) would make a good joker, since he does the voice on the cartoon pretty well.

    Hehe, was gonna suggest Hamill myself, was great as the Joker on the cartoon. He's getting on in years, saw him doing an interview around the time he did that Simpsons episode.

    He did a good job, but he's too short and fat to play the Joker.
    Buscemi might be good, but risks being too understated.

    Jack is too old at this stage.
    It'd be a tricky casting decision.

    While we're on the topic, I think the casting to date has been superb.
