i recently bough a korg agx 1500 for 180 2nd. Sweet pedel has every thing u need. I was thinking of buying a Zoom 707 for a while but my guitar teacher advised against it. Theres alot of people sell them off so there must be somthing worng with them

Most people hate the lower end zoom stuff unless they're only beginning. The distortion is muck really. Are you just starting to play? imo single pedals are nicer although rack mounted stuff seems to be perfect. If you can afford it that is.

I have a lower end Zoom pedal..remember the old 505 ...ahhhh...anyway its ok for jammin with or messin about on if u dont want to haul a pedal board around. The distortions are a bit too dry/harsh/brittle and u'll end up using ur amp for that instead, otherwise the other effects are pretty useful.

If ur gonna get a pedal board...go for the Boss GT-6 ( an amazing range of stuff including a lot of the Roland effects from the VG guitar synth ). If ur gonna get a pedal on its own for dist. go for the Boss MetalZone ( its the best around if u r into that kind of thing )

and no I dont work for boss or roland :D

for just distortion, id say look at the digitech x-series hot rod distortion.
mostly because you can get boss ds-1, pro co rat, and fuzz sounds from the turn of a switch.

for cheap multi effects, im currently thinking of getting a digitech rp80. looks pretty awesome to me.

That Digitech RP80 looks very good alright, and its only €90 from musicstorekoeln. It looks a lot better than the Zoom stuff at that price.

I use a Korg ax100g multi-effects pedal. Great noises and stuff off it, its very customisable so it'll do for whatever tone you're after. Cheap too as far as I can remember. Only problem with it however is that it hums a little making it useless for studio. It's got a built in noise-reducer which apparently "deals" with the hum. But it tends to confuse held notes with noise, a kills them. Which is just stupid. If you're going for a single Boss pedal or similar, stay away from metal zones. They suck balls. Super-Overdrive is the best I've used. Metal zones scream of thirteen year-old wannabe-in-a-band bands. Crap sound in studio or elsewhere. I think anyway. (I'm probably gonna get shot for saying that).

Yeh the best overdrive pedal i have ever used is the Super-Overdrive 2 (OS-2) excellent pedal, and quite cheap too in musician inc.

Not gonna shoot ya daram yet !!....

The SuperOverdrive is a prety good pedal, I just happen to like the MT-2 a little more ( and I'm NOT 13 .. although I've had it since I was 20 ) I

I use a BOSS GT-3 and two external control pedals (one a toggle on/off and the other is an expression Control one)
genius machine!! all boss's FX in one box with stereo outs,MIDI control and complete control with the onboard expression pedal. and its AMP simulators are sweet. best investment ive ever made

Fair comment. And I will admit that metalzones can sound good if they're used right. There's jus a lot of people that buy them because they've got metal in the name and cant use them. Maybe its cause im not really into metal or anything really heavy too. That mey have swayed my judgement somewhat.

Best distortion I've used is the one I recently bought.

    Mesa Boogie V-1 Bottle Rocket.

    Lush.

    mmmmmmm Mesa Boogie.

I used a Mesa Boogie Mark III combo guitar amp for a while. It was sweet. It was only small, but it had wheels, and when you turned it up loud it used to roll backwards along the ground.
