interesting article here at anandtech about the new ati X800 cards. most interesting i thought is what anandtech commented on about the X800 XT coming out about a month after the X800 and that it would have 16 pipelines compared the the X800's 12. this 16 pipelines would put in on par with the NV40 core yes?

and theres also a X800SE variant with 8 pipelines which they comment may softmod like the 9800SE equivalents. have to say i'm anticipating the new cards even though i won't be buying
