i was reading about the freenet application as it claims to be totally anonymous peer to peer and was wondering how can you be identified by using win mx or kazaa, in other words how can i matce a username to an ipaddress? and is there ways to view ip addresses?

Very easily... if i knew what username you had, all i would have to do is start downloading a file from you, and check what IP address the file is coming from. Even i could do that in a matter of seconds manually, so with a nice high-tech program, you can literally match tens of names per second if you wanted.
