flashing bios

    how long should it take to flash a bios

    doing it on an aopen motherboard

    downloaded the update
    rebooted with a floppy
    ran the program
    screen is up saying easy flash bios util r1.86

    but nothing has happened in over an hour

    don't want to turn off in case i feck up

    or have i done so already!

    It should only take a twenty seconds or so to download the BIOS image once the process starts. If it has been sitting there an hour then either the update is done and it's not saying so or the flashing program has hung.

    Just reboot them machine with all digits as tightly crossed as possible.

    Thats definitely good. :)

    Make sure you have the latest stable version of the flashing tool and check if there is a problem with that floppy.

    ok going to try to create a new boot up disk and then try it again
