Go to some local mechanic which will be much cheaper around 300

Had a 01 Punto done in KwikFit 2 weeks ago at cost of just under €400. Less than 3 years old and under 20,000 miles. Aren't Fiats wonderful.

It's a well known problem with puntos. Having said that, buying one new saves at least €1000 compared to similar cars from the competition, so there is room for the odd extra repair bill

    Hopefully covered by manufacturer's warranty?

it sure was covered by them, the clutch was not gone totally, you could feel a lump in the clutch pedal (clutch release bearing is on the way out) so I got them to replace the whole clutch kit,

    Hi

My gf had a 00 punto 1.2, 40k on the clock.

    Head gasket went.

Eight months and ~9k miles later it went again.

The car was very soon after traded in....
