Probably been asked lots of times but I searched and still cannot fix this problem.

I've upgraded the firmware to the latest on the site but I still have the same problem.

After inputting all my details it says peer abort on the connect page

    Anybody help ?

BTW, i would disable file transfer in msn im if you use it, if someone tries to send you a file on messenger it will lockup this router.

    However icq transfer works fine.

    not a bother ste-

At Longfield good point on turning of file trasnfer in msn, it has caused my pc to lock up together with the modem several times never really knew where the problem was, thanks

thinking about it files wasn't really a prob (small ones anyway) but webcam, sound and the games on msn did cause trouble

you dont know a way round all that do you??

Nope, this router doesnt like msn at all, frankly thats probably a good thing, but trillian works fine (apart from msn file transfer that is).

i have the dlink 504 and i had the msn file sending problem.

    its sorted by upgrading firmware.

if ur confused by the various firmwares available/how to put em on i recommend giving their tech support a buzz.

    irish number: 01 2421061

    8.00am - 10.00pm Mon-Fri.

I was a bit confused with the versions (so i dont want to start telling u what to do in case i mess up.) the support was great and got me sorted in no time.

basically u need to do a firmware via a setup file from the ftp site, then u need to download another firmware upgrade and do it through the router browser interface.
