It's a sci-fi about a group on random people that wake up and find themselves inside this room. After a bit of exploring through many other similar rooms they realise they are inside a giant cube and need to find a way to get out. Some of the rooms are booby trapped aswell to add some extra spice to the situation.
It's hard to explain the film without giving a lot of it away. It's a very good film though and well worth the watch.

Cube is well worth a look. You may recognise Nicole deBoer as well if you watched DS9.

    Plot from imdb:
Seven different people, each from a very different walk of life, awaken to find themselves inside a giant cube with thousands of possible rooms. Each has a skill that becomes clear when they must band together to get out: a cop, a math wiz, a building designer, a doctor, an escape master, and a disabled man. Each plays a part in their thrilling quest to find answers as to why they've been imprisoned.
The sequel was a bit cruddy though.

I thought Cube 2 was just as good as the first one, if not better. The ending was certainly better.

Just flicked onto it halfway through now. Excellent film.

there was a cube 2? sweeeet, i thought the first one was excellent, must have a look about and see if i can pickup the 2nd one sometime, looks like i've pretty much missed all of cube now :(

Cube 2's beeen on sci-fi (ch130 on Sky) a few times if that's any good to you Eye.

Alternatively it's on DVD here (cough) Or here at a slightly more sane price.

I found the second one a little clinical - and I wasn't a fan of the bright walls. The first one had that interesting premise going for it. I'll take the point about the conclusion, though it'd take another movie to sort out the conclusion of the second one (no spoilers in there really).

Cube 2 : HyperCube was alright i guess. More of the same really and seemed to be over very quickly for some reason. Its very predictable and is basically the same movie as the first, except for the little twist with 2 characters.

I liked the new design of the rooms, its very clean and sleek. Especially when that square starts attacking them, i thought that looked pretty cool :)

I thought Cube 2 (Hypercube!) wasn't very good at all. It seemed to lack pretty much everything I liked about the original. And the ending was just pants.

Cube2 was good but certainly not better than the first one.

My favourite moment in Cube was when the mentally disabled chap took a whiz in one of the cubes :)

I don't think the second one would have been as good without seeing the first one. But I liked the way it brought in new things such as the
    different dimentions
    and the
    rooms where the gravity shifted.
I suppose the first one was better in the sence that it was the original and new. But I think I enjoyed the second one more knowing what was to come (to some extent) and not being just as confused as the characters about what was going on. Basicly I thought it just lived up to the first one very well. More of the same is good sometimes, especially when it's done so well.
