    E.g. check this site....

    http://www.irishdiaspora.net

Actually there are literally hundreds of sites, perhaps the best thing you can do is explore for yourself, depending on what you are looking for... "Irish America" is such a wide subject... ;) anything in particular I may help you with? :) I have some experience (though not a lot of expertise :dunno: ) with Civil War times....

Hmmm, sorry... :dunno: I have run a quick search for you, but all the discussion forums I have come across are pretty dead.... the only group I do know is mainly focused on Civil War times, the Fenian Brotherhood, and Irish genealogy, as I said. Nothing much is going on lately, but you might find someone there who could help you. This is the address....

    http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mruddy/fenian2.htm

It has also occurred to me that you might try and find the sites of organisations like the Ancient Order of Hibernians, they may lead you somewhere else.... in any case, good luck... :)
