Depends on what kind of work your looking for i suppose

The Galway Advertiser has decent enough listings. Comes out on a thursday and is free.

ROFL, afraid not. I had to move to Dublin to get work. You might get something waitressing in a café or bar work but in terms of a proper job, no chance of anything decent.

Wouldn't worry too much about employment agencies just apply anywhere you think you'd like to work. Be ready to fight for a job at this time of year, all the students (both college and secondary) will already be looking for work.
