Just watched this movie and all I can say is damm it rocks. Fans of the comic will leave the cinema happy :) Non comic fans have a kick ass action movie on there hands in the style of Blade. Any Hellfan who isint grining from ear to ear when he first appears has no soul :)

The internet can do amazing things.

It got decent reviews in america. The trailer looks ok. Never heard of the comics until last year.

While it differs from the comics a little, it does have lots of refrence's to the comic and really is a damm good comic to movie adaption.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this. Sucks big time about the delay in release dates for UK/Ireland.

    US 2nd April
    UK 3rd September

The Punisher is another comic book movie that's delayed a fair bit between releases too. 2 months is too long grr

    US 16th April
    UK 11th June

I was just getting used to comic book movies being released worldwide on the same day, after FOX did for X2 & Daredevil last year. Least Spiderman 2 is only 18 days behind the US release. Maybe the Region 1 DVD will be out before the Hellboy cinema release here

I haven't seen really anything about the punisher but I suspect it will be a bit flacid with John "Battle field Dirt" Travolta in it. Do you remember the Dolf Lundgren version?

I cannot wait to see Hellboy. Saw the trailer before Dawn of the Dead, had to scoop my chin up from the floor. And any film which gives Ron Pearlman top billing in a 60 million dollar film is okay with me. Thank god Guillmero Del Toro told the studio it was Ron or noone. Imagine if it starred Nicholas bleedin Cage.

I'm afraid your right about that, the demand was bigger then expected in the States that they had to use the European reels to meet the demand.

I also heard they wanted The Rock at one stage.

Another maddening change they wanted was beyond beleif... Because the character of Hellboy wasn't really a "Boy" they wanted to change it so that he was a normal teenager who could transform into a big demon, hulk style.

Could you imagine how CRAP that would've been!?!

What if they had him going through puberty, or what if it was his prom and he had a crush on some cheerleader who was going out with some jock. And what if he saved the world and discovered that he was really in love with his best friend. Theres an original film there somewhere.

Most likely it would have caused a wave of mass suicide in comic book fans.

Iv seen it and didnt think it was amazing. Its good, special effects are fine and it has its funny moments, very much a comic book feel to it. Generally predictible story. Didnt like Selma Blair in it didn't belive any of the romance...

The Nazi assassin was cool (cooler then HellBoy ;) )

Def wouldn't knock Dawn of the Dead of the top of my recent fav movies.

Still though well worth a watch

i can't wait to see this movie but watching the trailer was a bad move. it practically tells you everything that's going to happen.

i'm looking forward to van helsing and the punisher (speaking of comic book to movies..) too. though the punisher trailer looks a bit too.... eh.. happy.

I wasnt looking forward to Punisher because I read that it was going to be a PG13 film. Luckily it's been rated R in America for brutal pervasive violence. My expectations have been raised.

Yea seen it last week, and tbh its moderatly good.
Doesn't lift you off your seat has a very very comic book feel to it and to add the romance was utterly ****. "WOMEN RUIN FILMS, UNLESS IT PORN"

On a side note the nazi assasain was excelent, reminded me of the ninja from "metal gear solid" Also Ab was cool.
