I had the same query a while back... it turned out that when I emailed O2 on the matter they replied that they couldn't provide a list of phones, that you've got to go to a retail dealer and that the available phones vary.

They couldn't even provide a list of guide prices! The whole point was that I didn't have much time for shopping around phone stores and, as of now, I still haven't gone to check prices etc etc!!

From the little info on their webs(h)ite, it seemed that 'upgrade' prices approximated to the Speakeasy purchase price for a given handset.

Has anything changed since then? I'd be interested to see if it has :D

    Hope that helps, somewhat anyway.

How long does it take to be eligble for upgrades? I've had an O2 bill account for about 14 months now, with bills totalling an average of about €30 per month.

To check your upgrade entitlement, put your mobile number & date of birth(must match the registered phone owner) into the form on the left of the main page http://web.o2.ie/personal/

At least you'll know what discount you'll get on the price of upgrade phones - whatever that might turn out to be :)

    Cheers.

Do the prices of upgrades vary from shop to shop, I think i read somewhere that they do that they are not an O2 set thing.....if so, whats the best shop to go to anyone know? I got my phone in Carphone Warehouse originally.

You probably wont get an upgrade untill you have been in contract two years, your spenditure is too low. I think they only give you an upgrade that soon if you have spend €1,000 in the last year.
