I'm looking for something nice and simple to make DVD movies out of some stuff I recorded off my TV card, so I can watch them somewhere other than onthe PC as divx's.

i have various different things, movies, tv shows etc. and just want a drag and drop deal that'll do the business with no fuss. i'm not bothered too much about quality as long as the audio is OK and it's watchable, I just don't want to have to mess about.

it's mostly avi's, so I tried tmpgenc andtmpgenc dvd author but between one and the other it keeps crashing due to the recordings being encoded differently (I'm guessing) cos i did them at different times using different software.

i tried using nero's dvd authoring tool, but it's crap, took ages and the audio was a long way out of sync by the end of the movie i tested it on, which is something i'm really keen to avoid.

anyone have any ideas or should I just persevere with tmpgenc?
