    Hi,

Find attached a report with analysis of the English Premiership
at the 30-game stage. The file is a zipped PDF and is 39 kB.

If there is interest I can post previous reports for the
    10-game and 20-game stages.

'Rio-stats' .... yes it works on so many levels.

Premiership games Rio played before his ban = 20
Goals conceded before his ban = 14

Premiership games ManU have played since his ban = 8
Goals conceded since his ban = 15

    [ok Gandalf.]

I dont have the stats of the ManU-Rio defensive situation
in comparison to other teams, but the results would indicate
that they have leaked goals badly. However, Browne did the
bizz today against Arsenal and also with the 1-1 draw in the league
so it looks for now as if they have stemmed that flow. Silvestre
and Brown are both young guys but can play very well at times.
However, in today's FA Cup match the best defender on the pitch
    was clearly Campbell.

In terms of Man U's defence there is also the Howard factor to
consider. It was unusual to see him being dropped since he had
being doing quite well overall and hadn't made many obvious
blunders. However, I would have blamed him for the CL exit goal.
Both Man U and Arsenal seem to be "weak" in terms of goalkeepers
compared to say a Casillas, but do have more reliable defenders.
Interesting to see Carroll doing quite well, perhaps lucky at times.
He could be an outside bet for making an error in the FA Cup
    Final !

Overall, Man U missed Rio badly and his ban may have cost them
their run at the title this year.

Nice report. The thing that stuck out to me most at the start is that Celtic had a higher salary bill in 2002 than Bayen Munich, and Rangers pay higher than both.
