I have a P 4 3.2c the stock cooler does the job but the noise factor comes in to play as the pc is right next to my bed, can anyone recommend a good heatsink low in noise, price wise if it does the job i'll pay for it.

    Thermalright SP94

Stick a Papst or Zalman fan on the top and you won't know your PC's switched on. You should be able to get one for £35-45 STG plus the cost of a fan.

    Try on www.overclockers.co.uk or www.kustompcs.co.uk

The Thermalright stuff is excellent, some of the best heatsinks on the market.

Id recomend the Zalman 7000 , there are 2 versions the Cu & AlCu. Basic difference is one is all copper and the other is more aluminium/copper mix. Performance is very simular so id get the AlCu as its €10 cheaper. Zalman is known for producing some of the best noise reducing parts and theres no difference here...... its pretty much silent and performance is fantastic.

Check the Zalman website to make sure it will fit your motherboard.......

www.hitide.ie have pretty much everything you will be lookin 4......... check em out.

I've had the Zalman for 6 months now and very, very pleased with it. Even at noiseless position (1400rpm, virtually silent) it is capable of handling my heavily overclocked p4c 3.0 at load. This is nothing short of amazing

The cpu is 25-35 degrees at idle in the noiseless mode in a warm small room :)
