    OH DEAR GOD!

As if IOL BB allowing me to not connect to the internet was enough, now WIN XP are are pissing me off.

I have formated my pc a few times over the last year reinstalling win xp each time entering the number no problem. Now it will not let me register as it says I have used this number too many times and to call Microsoft. For the love of God, has this happened to anyone else EVER? and What is the outcome? :dunno:

PS: THIS HAS NOT BEEN ILLEGALLY DOWNLOADED OR BURNED OR LENT OUT!!! THIS IS MY ORIGINAL COPY I BOUGHT.

do what it says and ring microsoft then.
It's just a security measure to make sure that the same key isn't used on several machines.

Id recommend doing a ghost image afte installing win xp and your s/w like anit virus and such...and then saving that ghost image on cd. and everytime you want to format...you can just install the ghost image and everything is set up for you.

Yep works until you do major hardware upgrade. Just ring MS, they will give you a new activation code there and then. Have done it many times - not a problem at all and they don't ask any questions (not even your name) :)

    Yes!!!

Just called and what Unkel said happened.

Don't know why they do not ask for personal information. I could have been given that number from a mate for all they know.

    Mucho gracias Microsoft! :p
