I need to wireless network a mac and pc in a workgroup?

Is there any specific hardware I should use on the mac or is it just the standard pci wireless cards?

    Cheers

I'm not 100% sure about the hardware for the Mac, but if you just set up TCP/IP on both of them they should be able to talk to each other. You may not be able to use windows shares without some kind of proprietary software on the mac.

As the proud owner of an origional iMac (damn slow piece of junk) i have a bit of experience on networking mac's with PC's.

In my case i used a standard ethernet connection. All i had to do was set up TCP/IP, and that would then get them able to ping each other. To do proper filesharing etc you'd need to install PCMac Lan. (from www.miramar.com i think). This is a great app, but isn't free.

Presumably you can do the same with wireless gear, so long as the wireless card you get supports your mac (unless your mac already has one built in...)
