    Could you please answer a question about the injection, depo provera please?
    My girlfriend wants to know if it is possible to get it on the day you go in without previously seeing the doctor. ie if you need tests beforehand.
    Also roughly how much does it cost?
    I have looked at the website and cant find this info.

    Different women have different reactions to the various forms of the pill/injections. I know two of my exes that were on the same dosage of the same pill and while one put on weight the other didn't at all (but her chest did go up a bra size :))

    usually ur first injection will start when u have ur period. this isnt totally nessecary but wud b recomended. also the doctor might not have the depo in his surgery. i had to pick it up from the chemist by prescription when i got my period n bring it to the doc.

    i didnt get any tests done. by right u shud get blood pressure , weight etc checked tho. simple tests like.

    now i will say i put on LOADS of weigt from depo. like went from a size 10 to 14, ie went from 9 1/2 stone to 11 1/2 stone.

    this is not the experience of every woman however...

    I'm on depo and hav prob lost weight.It's about €16 for the injection from the chemist,then the doctor does it for you.You HAVE to see a doctor before you get it as it's prescription only.It's also the slightly more intelligent thing to do.
