80gig desktop H/D

I have a smartdisk 80gig desk top H/D that freezes when left ideal after about 10 minutes. If I'm using the drive it works fine it is only when left ideal.

`Check to see if it's set to be powered down if idle...

Right click the Desktop, select properties
Select Screensaver tab
Select Power button.
