Anyone think Discovery Channel is crap, Half the time they're either showing a scrapheap challenge clone/repeat or american war propaganda, the history stuff is sometimes good, but it has few programmes about geography, science, nature etc like National Geo used to have. have the satellite Discovery channels got anything actually educational to offer, seems like it's going the way of MTV, showing nothing nothing but mind chewing-gum to non-sky subscribers.

I dream of the day when the Discovery Channel do a documentary on the contribution of Great White Sharks to the Allied cause during WWII. Then they will truely have attained total mental meltdown.

i think discovery is the best cable channel going actually.
with the exception of the thing with tony robinson (time team i think)which is muck. everything else they show is generally fantastic. theres always something interesting on, and its generally looking a things from a refreshing perspective.

if i was getting digital, the 6 or so more discovery channels id be getting would be a major reason why tbh.

I personally like the Discovery channels. One of the best reasons for multichannel TV :)

I like Discovery a lot, myself. Some of my favorites on it are Extreme Machines, Extreme Machines: Military Force, Battlefield, Planes That Never Flew, 5th Gear, Industrial Revelations, FBI Files, Wings (which they seem to show very little of nowadays, only when they need something to fill a gap in the programming, it seems), Coltrane's Planes & Automobiles, Scrapheap Challenge/Junkyard Wars and Dream Machines. From that lot it seems like I do watch too much Discovery but that's only because it's one of the few channels that actually shows any decent programmes nowadays, in my opinion.

And what is this "Sex Sense" you speak of? I've never seen it. From Mossy Monk's description it sounds like some late night/early morning softcore porno posing as an educational-type programme, is it? Further (and more detailed) descriptions, please! :D
