I have a load of really good gear that I dont really use since I have nowhere to put it. Coupled with good computer software you can do some great home recordings. I've got a 4in/4out pro usb external pro soundcard, a 16ch spririt live desk with phantom power and a rode nt2 condenser mic with a pop sheild and the works. I've got other stuff too but this is the main stuff I use. Its not for sale, but Im not using it at the moment...

Is there any chance i could get a lend of that stuff. My band need to record a demo but it is real expensive. Would that stuff be able to record without a computer? Im pretty clueless

the USB Pro Sound card needs to plug into the computer.

Yeah but would it work straight from the desk to something else?

You can just go straight out of the desk into something like a minidisc or similar. But to be honest, the pc is essential in getting a good sound. Post-recording effects and processing are really needed. I'm hoping to get a laptop after my exams in 4 weeks and if I do that, I'll be setting up all the gear in a soundproof shed at the end of my drummers garden. If that happens according to plan then you can come use it for free whenever. So long as your music is good and stuff. Whos yer band?

We're called PSP. We play spacey rock. Influences : Kyuss, Qotsa, Nebula, Clutch and the like. That would be awesome if we could use it.

is this offer still open D? I have a high spec PC and am about to invest in home recording equipment. It'd be great to check out some equipment first hand before buying.

    cheers,

Yeah, but there's a bit of a queue. All my mates and loads of others are taking turns in stealing it.
