    Hey,

Has anyone bought this (yes, you have to import it) and playing it at the moment?

If so, what do you think of it?

I'm playing it about 2 weeks at this stage and it's great... I played Eve previously and it sucked majorly in comparison. Only problem being that a lot of ppl playing are from the US (it's not out here after all) and so my sleeping pattern are getting totally screwed over because of it.

Been playing it on and off for the last 2 months(in between eve and swg), its addictive, ill say that about it,

I have 2 characters on Fairy (lvl 10 war galak in bastok(attackingshadow), and, lvl 11 rdm tarantu(?) (Feumeu) in windwurst.

Theres a pretty decent player base in it, alot of people will help you out when you start off.

The only downsides that I can think of at the moment of the game are in can get a bit repeditve in early levels, and most importantly there is no pvp at presant( I know its being added in later)

A major up side is the cost per month, only $7.52...downside to this is you pay $o.50 for each extra character you make.

The one thing I don't like is the different servers... I'm on Bahamut and barely anyone from europe uses it that I've met...

Been playing about 2 weeks or so and I'm a Lvl 13 Hume RDM :)

You sure about the pricing? From what I've seen it's $12.95 per month, with each additional character at $1 each

yeah i got it at xmas, couldn't get into it in a short time though was too different then other final fantasies for me and i've never played another mmorpg before, so i cancelled my subscription (or least i thought i did i just got billed there again must sort that out) with the intention of starting it up again in the summer,

i found it kinda overwhelming tbh, i picked up the guide book hopefully this will ease me in

Bit annoying if they've hiked up the price for new subscribers

It is quite different alright, but at the same time once you delve under the surface a little you begin to notice that while a lot is different there's also a lot there that's the same.

I was playing last night and saw someone summon Ifirt, man, that rocked :D

well afaik i was being correctly billed according to the manual, i do have to characters though which costs an extra dollar a month i think

but with the favourable exchange rate all is good

i still don't know what character to go for, i always liked warriors in the other FF's bascially because at higher levels i didn't find magic much use, however the way i'm reading it warriors or just tanks, designed to take aggro and not deal the damage so much which is not where i want to be at. i also liked the idea of a red mage but then you are kinda jack of all trades master of none :) we'll see anyway, looking forward to it this summer

    data

Wars are tanks alright, but the good thing about them is that not only do you take the damage you can give it back too... the addition of skillchains is a great idea, where a series of melee characters can perform what amounts to Limit Breaks in succession, thereby dealing lots more damage to the Mob.

From what I've seen over the last couple of weeks there's demand for mages (all 3 types), and warriors. With those you can form a party, other classes are nice but not essential.

Like I said, my character's a red mage atm, spells aren't too bad and I can bash things with a sword too, which I like... I think when I go for a sub-job I'm going to pick rdm/blm, so I can deal more magic damage later on... might even switch it around the other way when the BLM skills start to get better, but I've not decided 100% yet... which is another cool thing, you can at any time start off as another class with your existing character, yay!

I got into FF11 about a month ago. Playing a taru blm/whm at the moment on the Fairy server. This game is too addictive and all my spare time was spent leveling up my character. I got both blm and whm up to level 25 in less than 3 weeks. I've stopped leveling since and I am doing a bit more exploration and missions and quests and working on making gil so I can upgrade spells and gear by doing a bit of fishing. Are people here still playing this and what are your levels and jobs?

Still playing a Hume RDM on Bahamut server, am 25RDM/15WHM/7THF at the moment.

Been doing some missions lately and haven't bothered levelling up much, but I wanna start into that again now that the WHM sub is up to a decent level.

I'd switch to Fairy cos I hear there's a few uk/irish ppl on it, except Bahamut sounds a LOT cooler, and I've put in too much work to see it go down the drain and start from scratch ;)
