Well, you have to remember that this is Batman at the very begining... This Batmobile is his first draft at it, he wouldn't have had the time to mould and refine it like the other movies insist he did...

Still prefer it to the Forever Batmobile, even though it does look like it should have a Massey Ferguson tag on it somewhere...

But seriously, even for a first attempt it's pretty terrible.
I mean for one thing, the wheels couldn't be any more exposed.
A bit of protection from gunfire might be useful, you can't chase bad guys with a flat tire can you?

And what's with the rocket propulsion thing on the back?

According to ComingSoon.net, the suit is not going to be entirly dissimilar to the one used in Batman: Dead End (a pretty cool fan movie).



Which is in itself pretty heavily influenced by the comics... I like...

It does look somewhat agricultural all right. What looks like a jet engine outlet is infact an enormous PTO where he can attach such useful weapons as mowers, crop sprayers and loaders.

Nolan was saying that he was heavily inspired by bladerunner and hinted on having this style in Batman begins. From the front, it certainly looks like one of those bladerunner cars.

Not exactly crazy over this. The back looks crap anyway, and where's the front panel??

It might fit in with the overall theme of the film, though. I think we have to check this out in the trailer, to see it's effect on the film (There's hardly any clues on the type of film where going to be presented with).

Well its being written by Goyer (who wrote Blade), and there's quite an ensemble cast, so it could well be a magnificent character piece intercut with blistering action and tragedy or a messy piece of trash where characters get very little screen time.

I was initially disappointed to hear that this was going to over-rule Burtons pieces because of (in my opinion) Schumachers trashing of the series. But I have to admit that the more I hear and see of this the more promising it becomes...

I don't care what the batmobile looks like, as long as the film turns out to be good. And from what I've heard of it so far, its lookin like it's gonna kick arse.
I'm glad they're going back to his origin cos they really started out on the wrong foot with Burton's original. Watched it recently having not seen it for a few years - and it's dated really badly.

I think it looks okay.
Remember in the animated tv series he drove around in a somewhat normal black car until some guy he saved offered to build the Batmobile.
