i wuld suggest you go and see a careers councillor, or you search on the web for one of the many career allocator web sites.

your question is far too broad for any sort of accurate answer, however, i am getting a little bored with the lack of effort you appear to be putting into your life, and i will not allow you to come on this board and waste peoples time.

you have posted several times about various things, and now you are looking at a completely different career.
if you are serious, then like i said, go and meet a career guidance councillor.
otherwise you are just wasting peoples time.

by the way, i thought you had several interviews lined up. what happened?
did you prove me right in the end?

i had interviews but they were looking for a minimum of 2 years experience

You seem to be all the time giving me a hard time whitewashman

there is no need at all for it!

go into more detail in what you want then and DONT i repeat DONT just post 2 or 3 line answers, go into as much detail as you want cause otherwise its like talking to the wall when posting replies to you im afraid, you know there is another world out there besides boards.ie

you seem to be looking for the easy answer all the time
    ie
YOU: i want a job in computers

    OTHERS: give us more detail??

YOU: a job in software development

    OTHERS:

u get the picture and if you want help then post up a CV or something

The IT industry is truly dead in this country so I do feel for you. I am kind of in a similar situation, although I just want to change jobs (can't find anything else though.)

Why not go back to college and do a masters or phd?

Wont give you any advice on a job to move into. Just look into your interests and more importantly... What do you watn to do ?

not sure what requirments you need to actually teach those subjects
(anybody else here cuase ive actually wondered this myself a few times!)

teaching is a hard job and the Hdip is tough too
believe me!! but it can be very rewarding

    do some research.

this is a last warning. you may consider it harsh. personally i am not worried.
the regulars here make a lot of contributions to a lot of people, and i thank each and every one fo them for their time and effort.
i wont have someone take the píss out oif them, or me.

so, please, pretty please, stop posting 2 line questions about where your life should go.
no one can help with that.
besides, last i heard you were in london, or should i just do an IP check on your posts to see if you were lying or not?
but post up any more of this rubbish, and i will ban you.

by the way, how did you get interviews when they all wanted 2 years experience. i would have a serious word with the agencies you use if they are putting you forward for positions you cant do.

well you're in a position which i will probably be in, in a few years time. The way I see it theres four options:

    1. Continue studying & get a masters/PhD
    2. Leave computers & get a HDip in something else
    3. Get a TEFL qualification & go traveling (this one really appeals to me)
    4. Look for computing jobs in other countries

    thanks for the above
