i'm SURE this isn't the right place to post this but my awaited package relates to the technology section.

an post are saying that no international mail will get through dublin.
but it says this on their site:

"SDS services are currently not affected by the dispute and parcels and EMS courier items are being accepted."

so i take it that international parcels are getting through?
got something coming from japan through ebay.co.uk
anyone else getting parcels from the likes of komplett or overclockers.co.uk?

    dave

Well I'm awaiting one from amazon.co.uk so I'm also interested in seeing if it gets through. Let me know when yours arrives.

I got a delivery via SDS on Friday. shop4memory used them cos they weren't affected by the strike, so no worries there.

Im living in one of the areas with no post, had to send a bank draft to dublin - the only SDS option theyd give me was "Priority DocPak" - for a single bank draft, in a standard DL sized envelope - €7.50 just for postage. I've just ordered a case of about 8kgs, and bulky, and its costing €9 to deliver. How screwed up is that?

I would assume so, as DHL would not be affiliated with An Post/SDS
