gDesklets installation on Red Hat 9

    Lads,

    I have been trying to install gDesklets ,sensors and display on my fully patched up to date Linux machine running redhat 9.
    But nothing is happening.

    I am getting the following error

    onfigure: error: Library requirements (gnome-python-2.0 >= 1.99.17 pygtk-2.0 >= 1.99.17) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config

    The thing is I have latest of all the above packages installed. Lads if you have any rpm's that you have configured on your machines please let me know.

    If anyone successfully configured gDesklets on their red hat 9 please let me know.

    trying to update python with rpm destroyed my mandrake install a few years back, looks like they still havnt fixed it, heh, yea i never figured that one out sorry. Gentoo have it sorted with a separate python-update app, maybe you can get something like that for redhat, not sure.
